Bug Fixes: Thanks.
Bug Fixes
Just like to say a big thanks to my mate Rob who's just spent some time on my server sorting out my Exchange system after I had literally thousands of messages being sent through it. Seems there's always a way and it looks like my system has been well and truly abused over the last day or so. Hopefully Rob has sorted it all out for me and I'll have a nice, peaceful mail server once again.

I really wish I could find out who these pratts are, I'd love to chop off their fingers (and toes to be on the safe side) to stop them from their damned annoying spamming habits. Gggrrrrrrrrr!

Bug Fixes: C - I do now!
Bug FixesI decided, at last, to hunt down a bug with this PHP-Nuke software which has bugged me for a long time. You may have noticed that the time has always being missing from the dateline on a submitted story (or you probably haven't ever noticed!). It used to give a day and date @ GMT Standard Time but no actual time! It probably didn't bother you at all but it annoyed the hell out of me!

Anyway, I fixed it this morning! This software is written on *nix based systems and so, I suppose, bugs are likely to rear their ugly heads once in a while when running under a Windows environment. It would appear that not all conversion specifiers are supported in Windows C libraries and, as I discovered, the way the time is translated involves using a character that's not supported. So I spent a little time looking through the code and found that it wasn't too great a problem to fix. So now when you look under this message you can see what stupid time I was up until fixing it! ;)

Bug Fixes: Lost route.
Bug FixesI can't really define this as a bugfix really but it does come under this category!

I tried to access my site a few minutes ago but couldn't get on it at all. I checked out the IP adress and all was well with that, also the ftp and mail servers were both running fine.

Bug Fixes: Yet another bug found!
Bug FixesMy thanks go to Imposter Bond who managed to point out a rather large bug on the site! OK, he didn't know it but he did!

Bug Fixes: Mail.
Bug FixesThat's it! I got really fed up trying to get the mailing routines to work on here. I just seemed to be going from one bit of code to the next. So instead of chasing it any further, I ripped the smtp module apart and re-wrote it to suit my system! It works now. :)

Update!

My code all worked fully. Unfortunately there was still a bug in the notification routine for the forum topic watch. I was unable to test this before but I have now tracked it down and, hopefully, fixed it once and for all.

Bug Fixes: Yet more bug fixes!
Bug Fixes
I've just applied several patches to the site which should hopefully eliminate some of the more frustrating bugs. Of course, I'm sure it's going to introduce a whole host of new bugs so we'll have to wait and see how it goes!

Bug Fixes: More fixes!
Bug FixesThere was (is?!) a bug whereby if you edited your profile in the message forums and saved it then your chosen theme for the site reverted back to the site's default theme. This should now be fixed... unless you know differently! :)
