LAN events: LAN Parties |

 Axe writes "I was chatting with Imposter yesterday and we wondered how easy it would be to find out if there are any LAN parties held say in Kent on a regular basis (other than our own of course!)
I've done a bit of trawling on the net and it seems that Kent is not exactly the first choice for LAN parties!!
Can we do any advertising (free? or minimal cost?) in say local papers to attract more people or find out if there are other groups like us who fancy a bash?

LAN events: Saturday Lan 30/8/3 |

Jev writes "The lan was great fun, there was me Oli and 6 guests. Shame we couldn't get more of our lot down there. We played BF,DC,EOD and MC2. Had a few setup niggled but got there in the end(couldn't get 2 hubs working together properly). EOD turned out to be quite a lot of fun, Ian(Blackhawk) was a right sniping git and got me loads on one map :)
A few of the lads might pop down some friday evenings which will be great as we seem have lost a few regulars recently.
A big thanks to Ian and his mates for making it a fun day and soz for the shortage of us lot."

LAN events: Who's Going list. |
|
 A few people have suggested that all LAN goers should be shown as not going on the list originally and then add their name to the list if they are going. I'll try it out but personally I don't see what difference it makes. The way I see it is that people would only add their names to confirm their intentions one way or the other. I seem to recall that I was asked to make a list so that people could add their names to either side after my first list only showed who was going to be going. By displaying it the way you have asked now would suggest that you only need a list to show who's going! Ah well, we'll try it and see what you think. Please feel free to comment.
